Catana 4000 reel damage, can i fix this??

Catana 4000 reel damage, can i fix this??

I like an idiot somehow dropped my reel when attaching it to the rod last night , it smashed off the rocks and caused the damage below, any tips on how to fix it or where can i get a repalcement piece for it??

Id doubt it although if you emailed shimano directly they may do something for you.Ive never seen a reel break like that before so there could have been a weakness in the frame to begin with . I dont think it could be welded succesfully

I have :cry: – a shimano ultegra on my kitchen floor!

Amazingly enough “lovetofish” off this site was able to fix it. I’ll get him on here to describe how he did it.

you can get a two pack plastic padding chemical metal made by loctite, sets like steel and can be shaped and sanded after it sets might be worth a look , any good hardware shop will have it.
