Hi All. I'm going up to Sligo to visit a mate over the June Bank holiday and am planning on getting a good bit of fishing in, hopefully the weather plays ball! Was thinking of trying Rosses point during the day (spinning and float) and taking it from there. I plan to do some night beach fishing too so if anyone has any marks that are worth a chuck it would be much appreciated. Was thinking of Enniscrone but I hear it can be very hit and miss? Would the western-facing beaches be a better bet?
Any help much appreciated and all info. kept to myself.

Your right about enniscrone being very hit and miss, nowhere locally is fishing as it should,a beach I occasionally give a lash is Ross there in killala ,can be enjoyable at timesSweetwrasse wrote:Hi All. Re: Sligo / Mayo, June bank holiday.
I head reports that the fishing is starting to get good now with some great size Mackerel been caught but the rough sea has made a lot of spots unsafe!! Id stick with what corbyeire has said & also the rock marks there at the back of the stone wall & the point are always worth a cast or two!!
Cheers Brian

I fished Streedagh today during the day. Was beautiful weather its a lovely spot really. Small bit of weed but not too bad at all really.
Fairly new to beach fishing but caught one small turbot on mackerel so maybe you will have more luck.
Good luck and enjoy the weekend.
