People:8 members carrick beach & rockers s.a.c.

Duration:6 hours

Tide:outgoing

Weather: fine, sunny with light s/easterly breeze

Bait: rag, lug, peeler crab, mackeral & sandeel

Rigs:rotten bottoms, scratchers & clipped pulleys also spinners and hawkeyes

Results:pollock to 4.5lb, 1.940grams, strap conger to 4lb 12 ozs, coalfish, and plaice


Report: john scott took the leg of the complete angler trophy with a triple coalie and a nice plaice of 440grams best coalie was 43cms, bobby laughlin had two coalies and a pollock, i had a pollock of 4.5lb, junior member gareth duke caught two strap congers the best 4lb 12ozs
and also took the heaviest fish pool for his efforts, brian taylor had 1 coalie and willy cowan had a plaice john , brian and willy fished the ledges north of garron point whilst myself , bobby , gareth and johnny all fished the rough ground at garron point 8)

HI MATEY WE FISHED FROM 9AM TO 3PM , A FAIR DAYS FISHIN BUT A COUPLE OF WEEKS SHOULD MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE FOR THE BIGGER POLLOCK

lets hope so anyhow! hoping to get a run out on a wee inshore boat in the area of carnlough/glenarm in the next few weeks to try for the pollack about 100 yds offshore with trolling tactics, it will give a better guide of the size of fish available all being well.
