Hey guys,
I was out on the rocks a couple of Sundays ago and saw a guy on the next point from me throwing stuff by the shovel load into the water. Was this guy groundbaiting?
He was catching flatties and had 3 rods on the go. Is it a good method? Or a waste of time because of tidal currents etc?
And if it is a good way to go, what would it be made up from? I'm guessing it would have to be a heavy enough mixture so it gets to the bottom close enough to where you are fishing?

I fished a harbour in Portugal and there was fishmongers throwing huge amounts of remains of fish in .The people were catching loads of gobys and a mullet were they threw the guts in, while we couldn't catch anything. So we moved beside them within minutes we caught fish.It did definitely attract the fish so maybe it's worth a go

No reason why it wouldn't work although its not widespread practise from the shore except for mullet fishing. Regular Mackeral Rubby Dubby would work IMO!

Could nearly guess who it was! It's generally made up of his leftover dinners, I kid you notmackfish wrote:Hey guys,
