Hi all I was down in Dans at the halfway today and got a Grauvell Azimut 285 multi tip rod for the boat..
I would like to get a fixed reel for this rod and I'm reading that a 5000 size reel would be ideal match, does anyone know of a good reel for sale

On a budget what about a Shimano Exage 5000. There a great little reel for what you pay. Brilliant line lay and a spare spool aswell, seen them at abot 75 to 80 euro.

Re: 5000 size boat reel
The penn battle might tick all the boxes if you can spend a little bit more, i got a 4000 recently cracking little reel. im hearing of a few lads using the 6000 size for general boat work
