Waterford Monday 22nd April

#1 Post by joebhoy »

I am heading down to Waterford city next Monday with work and would like to wet a line afterwards. I have never fished this area and am looking for some pointers or even company if anyone fancies a wee session on the beach.

I would apreciate if you could PM me any help and also a decent place to purchase (or dig :( ) some bait.

Hey Tom I will be finished work about three then head out. Not really bothered but will fish into dark anyway. Haven't checked the tides yet but will have a look this evening.

Theres the tides for Monday Joe, looks like you will be fishing the outgoing tide. Should be light enough winds from the south veering west, with light rain. You could try Passage East, that usually produces a couple of fish a trip (even if they are usually small). Another worth a shot might be Bunmahon, after the wind we have had it might even produce a bass for you.
Waterford Outdoor Angling Center (051)844314 could probably fill your bait needs but i would recomend calling a couple of days before if you want live lug or rag.

Sorry if i had a bit more time on me hands i would go with you for a few hours.
