Tarbert, Co Kerry, Bass Fishing

#1 Post by Trickyricky »

We visit family in Tarbert for a couple of weeks every summer. Since the hot water has stopped from the Island, it is getting harder and harder to catch the Bass, does anyone have any tips or hot spots they could share with me for the Tarbert area ?

Haven't actually caught down there but was talking to a guy on the pier he catches prawns and small fish inside the harbour and live baits them at night on a certain spot on the larger pier... Don't remember where though or on what tide. Ballybunion is supposed to be good on the estuary end of the beach in a good surf last 2 hours of the rise 1st of the drop... there is a tackle shop in listowel and another in Ballylongford... have never caught a bass myself but good luck maybey ring up the shops there numbers will be somewhere on the Internet!
Good luck :)
