Re: penn surfblaster
Yes, got one in Southside a couple of weeks ago. Came well recommended from the lads there and at very reasonable price too. Affinity looked good too but a bit outta my budget lol. Nice reel, great size for the beach and not to heavy either. Spool locks solid on half a turn. Spooled up with braid and mono on respective spools and have used the mono spool several times since. Nice smooth cast and retrieve, good line lay and have to say I am pleased with it so far. The line clip wont hold the leader (60lb) but there again lots of clips wont anyway so you'll need a wrap or something to keep your line from peeling off. Haven't used the braid spool yet but am looking forward to it..........might actually manage a 100yds lol. Hope this is of some help.

Re: penn surfblaster
They add on the tax when you get to the payment/shipping page and then convert to euro. It looks really cheap till then. Youll probably only save a couple of €€ so i dont think its worth the hassle, especially if anything breaks?

Re: penn surfblaster
Agreed Red, If you look at the Sterling price and convert it you'll find the majority of local tackle shops ain't marking it up unduly and.......if you do have a problem it's much easier to get sorted with your local dealer particularly if you are a regular customer or have left a few bob with him before and likely to do so again. Times are hard for everyone....... but your local tackle shop is more than just somewhere that sells fishing gear as those who know........know. Btw I'm not a tackle dealer plugging but have learned over the years that a GOOD tackle dealer will look after you if you are genuine and straight up. Hard times make it even more important that he do so too. I'm pleased with my Surfblaster, the price I paid and service I got/get. If I bust it myself I won't bring it back, on the other hand if I have a problem with it I will, secure in the knowledge that it will be sorted. Just my tu'pence worth and personal opinion
