Galway Bass

Hi all.. this may be a trickie one,, i live in galway and have been trying for bass in galway for alot of years now,, all months and tides,,, but with no joy,, here the question,, does anyone know if galway hold bass,, i have heard of bass been caught but never seen one,,, I respect that other anglers will not tell on marks,, but am i wasteing my time.... thanks all.....tight lines all....
SHORE SPECIES 2012... coalie,

boat species09~~~pollack,cod,haddock,whiting,doggies,bullhuss,tope,john dory,thornebsck,blonde,blue shark,spur dog,wrase,gunnard,pouting,

shore species 2010~~~ dab,flounder,thorneback ray,pollack,plaice,coalies,turbot,wrasse,bull huss, lsd...

boat trips 4 result..pouting,, spurdog.pollack,
shore trips 2010.... 36.....

wish list 2010..sea trout....

Did you look in Galway bay sea foods I'm sure they would hold bass there. . . . . . :lol: .

i hooked a bass twice 100m to the left of your ray mark on the north side of the bay also have been told by a few that there is a few out around ballyconneely

theres bass all round galway bay - knowing where and when is the key - hard won info
the southern half better all round chance

I've seen em in Mannin Bay.... not 5ft from me wading.. they were chasing shoals of sandeel, mid tide flood
2016: dogfish, pollack,

2015: whiting, coalfish, turbot, pollack, ballan wrasse, conger, thornback, short spined sea scorpion , common blenny ,

2014 : dogfish, garfish, launce, common blenny, cuckoo wrasse, flounder, pollack, thornback ray,

2013 species:(15) Whiting, Dogfish, Three Bearded Rockling, bull huss, poor cod,turbot, flounder,pollack, spotted ray, thornback ray, launce, corkwing wrasse, long spined sea scorpion, common blenny,mackerel,

2012 species: Thornback, bull huss, Dogfish, pollack, Mackerel, bass, flounder, turbot, conger,




Species 09:(23) Conger, Whiting, Bass, flounder, Dogfish, dab, corkwing wrasse, pollack, bull huss(8lb 10oz~PB) , thornback ray(8lb~PB), dragonet, ballan wrasse, Blenny, Mackeral,long spined sea scorpion,pouting, coalfish, launce, codling, poor cod, starry smoothhound, 5 bearded rockling, shore rockling..

Been out a fair bit about Galway and haven't seen any about. Hear of more bass in Mayo though.

Howdy Alan, like Brian said there's plenty of Bass in Galway get your spinning gear ready when the water warms up a bit I'll bring you out...
