Visiting Westport

Hey guys,
I'm headinto Westport for a few days next week and since herself will be gettin pampered, I'll be taking a rod with me...I'll just be taking a spinning set up with soft plastics and lures etc...

Any decent easy to gettorock marks?!... I Jane absolutely no knowledge of the area as I've only been once and that was for a stag do!

Also if anyone could point me in the direction of a tackle shop to pick up a few things it would be greatly appreciated..

Hi Mack,

I have only fished around Westport once myself and that was on a beach so can't help you with a suitable rock mark. However, there is a decent tackle shop called 'A Shore Thing' located down by the quay. I found the owner very helpful and he gave me directions to a number of marks in the area. I'd recommend calling in there for your few bits and some local information..
