.carrying a spinning rod to the beach is definatly not to be shunned in my book.
I have to agree and so many times this out fishes the other rods :D
Give a man a fire he will be warm for a night,
Set him on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

All depends on how long the walk is, if it is a long walk I try and go as light handed as possible. If its a short walk sometimes I carry 2 rods and fish them totally different. I use one for bass with lug and crab and I cast the other out far and use mackerel fillets or squid to see if there is anything different around. Can be a great surprise sometimes when you land a ray r huss or even a nice bass, but most of the time I use 1 rod and enjoy the session more I just keep a baited up rig clipped to the stand and change over so I can get rig back into the water immediately.
The finest gift you can give a fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
