Rostonstown Wexford

#1 Post by Bassy Tom »

Hi all,

thinking of going to Rostonstown in Wexford to try my luck on Saturday. Is it fishing well at the moment? Any info or advice for this venue as i have not been there before?

cheers!

with all the blow from the south recently id imagine there would be a fine raft of kelp waiting for you - plus with these winds youd probably have most fun just opening the door on the car dont mind going down to witness the 5m waves for yourself - say it could be dodgy just to stand on the beach -if it stays like this

its a good beach to fish, very deep. but listen to corbyeire that place would be full of weed at the moment.

thanks lads, the forcast is for northerlys from friday on and i was hoping this would be enough to allow a gap in the weed. if you still dont think that will help maybe you could reccomend a spot that might work?

thanks again.

i heard that the lake at our ladys island was covering a lot of the islands - id imagine the roads there could be coverd also - probably need a good let up in the rain too!

U could risk it and see what happens but I'd take the lads advice , it is always a lot windyer then the givin forecast :( but if u do catch something there is a good chance it will be a big one
Ps I would not bother if u do not have fresh crab.

Brother in law was driving and wanted to take a look for himself, so we went Saturday, suprisingly there was no weed. Didnt catch any keepers though.
