Fox Pulley Beads and Breakaway Proper Pulley

Hi everybody. Do they really work better than swivels? (I mean mainline kinking) Richard

Defo fox pulley beads them and imps are all I use
bass PB 10 lb , thornback ray PB 11lb, smooth hound PB 12lb, cod PB 9lb wish list for this year turbot painted ray undulate ray nd gilt head bream

Fox pulley beads are good. Im not sure how much weight they can hold before they snap though. Maybe if targeting big fish or specimen hunting it would be best to stick with a good swivel.

I wasnt a fan of the breakaway pulleys. They use a two way link so the line is prone to getting caught in the clip.

Ya pully beads or good swivels are better than the breakaway yokes whitch constantly tangle especially in choppy water and lets face it we go fishing when the water is choppy - a poor effort from a brand with a good reputation

big swivells and big beads all the way :wink: why waste money on fancy gizmos that only do the same job??you can add a rubber bead before your knots if your worried about strain on the knots from big fish (we live in hope ) :mrgreen: the bigger the hole in the bead the less wear and clogging with sand on the rig body :wink:

I use both,but the fox are better.I find with the breakaway the snood line can get caught on the clip,so get the pliers out and adjust.
