Gemini Alpha bait clips
Hi everybody,I'm new to this forum.I would like to know about Alpha bait clips performance (I never tried them) Are they failsafe specially during flight?Somebody told me that plastic red tube may slide in the air releasing the bait hook before hitting the water. There's a very little information on the web about this devices.I'll appreciate your opinions.Richard

Re: Gemini Alpha bait clips
if your fishing a huge bait the weight if the bait can cause the inp to unhook (i,m talking HUGE!!) the alpha bait clip wont,it can also be used for an off the ground cast ,which the imp cant be,i personally use the imp but have seen a reveiw on angling addicts (a uk site ) and they recomended them but did mention they are not cheap

Re: Gemini Alpha bait clips
Hi Richard,
They are an overly complicated piece of kit in my opinion and if you are a new angler I would avoid them. If you know how to tie your own rigs and currently use other clips stick with those.

You're right,The Imps are not cheap and considering the possibility of using the Alphas also for an OTG cast ,I think they would be a good choice.Richardroger de dodger wrote:if your fishing a huge bait the weight if the bait can cause the inp to unhook (i,m talking HUGE!!) the alpha bait clip wont,it can also be used for an off the ground cast ,which the imp cant be,i personally use the imp but have seen a reveiw on angling addicts (a uk site ) and they recomended them but did mention they are not cheap

Hi Kstaff,I'm not a new angler and I tie my own rigs.I've been using Breakaway Impact Shields,Imps and Gemini Splash Down Solo (they work very good),but I never tried The Gemini Alpha bait clips. The problem is that I live in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and everytime I want to try some new fishing device I have to order to Uk (Breakaway,Namix and Gemini products are not available here, similar models even). So I like to be sure about their working performance before I order some.
Regards. Richard
