Cobh for a weekend

#1 Post by myworldfishing »

Alright chaps and chapetts....

I am heading to Cobh for the valentines weekend, staying in the bellavista hotel I think it is and was wondering is there anyone here that knows that area.

I'm out to fish so our target is all types but we have congor on the top of the list. So if theres anyone that can help with a few tips for the area or a mark. I will keep it secret!

Thanks in advance people.

Many species can be caught from the deep water quay in cobh, also some good resident conger fishing, no need to cast far, a whole mack flapper and drop it straight down and u should bag a good one..........all these conger are cauht and released

If your staying in the bellavista just ask at the reception,if they don't have up to date info nobody will.

The bellavista runs a boat hire service too so if the shore fishing isn't going well you can get out into the harbour

99.99% of the fish I catch are released... I will bring some home for the kids because they love a bit of fresh fish, but congor wouldent be on my eating menu....
