i havent fished it in a while but my brother in law lives there apparentyl nothing been caught off the pier in a long long while, would be best to try off the rocks at the back of the castle or up to the left of the beach to class carrick fish, last time i was on the pier myself it was only catching poor cod, small pollack and the odd small flattie(on a good day) fishing the pier seems to be hard going.

I used to fish the pier loads when I was a kid. Caught a few congers over 20 years ago from it all between 12 & 18lbs. Haven't heard of any been caught from it since. You'll just be scratching for whiting & dabs, and possibly coalies. Not worth the drive in my opinion. You'll do just as well closer to home.

hi the peir can ok at times with the odd decent pollock showing his face but the beachs between there and courtown/ardamine might be a better bet best of luck
