Hello to all
I just cannot fight the pull of the sea anymore. I have been living a reclusive life for way too long. I am searching out specimen fish in West Cork. I have been well informed of some very nice common skate that know one fishes for in the spot I am in. So I have got myself a nice small boat which I am working on at the moment. My partner is Canadian and she just loves fish so i'ts up to me to bring home the fish.
I have been told about all these exotic species down here, so i am really looking forward to searching them out. Certainly studying the charts makes for some really exciting adventures this year. The ground is just full of potential.
Now I must tell you all, I lost all my big tackle or should I say my ex wife is holding them in storage in case they get wet, so that's that!
So if if anybody has any used deep sea tackle they want to part with, just contact me.
I want to get back in to charter business but it is proving very difficult as rules are stiff and running costs are huge.
As some of you will know i held the IRISH record of heaviest Spurdog for many years ,so i am keen to get right back at it
So for now I say Happy New Year and keep the bait smelly.
Charlie Robinson

Nice one Charlie! You were something like the scarlet pimpernel for a few years! You have come up in various discussions over the years.....where did yer man go that used to fill the spurs page of the specimen report?
