fluorocarbon leader for sea trout

#1 Post by ecleary »

lads

what length and strength of fluorocarbon leader do you use for sea trout fishing?

I'm using about 6 ft of 14lb leader on a 20lb braid mainline and wondering if that's an ok setup?

18 inches to 2 feet is fine, if you need it at all. I gave up on a leader at the back end of last season and it didn't harm my catch rate at all.
