I'm sorry to say that, but you're all just a bunch of sissies ;)
30 years ago I used to go out with my moon-boots, stuffed with treble wool socks and double long johns underneath my thin and old jeans. Air temperature was 20-25 minus most of the nights and I had only a 1ft square sheet of polystyrene to stand on. We were trying for a freshwater cod species underneath a power station beside a river, only possible during December, January and February. Some nights even with good success, when the dams on the river were opened and the ice cover ripped away by the current. But we always enjoyed the adventure and the challenge.
The mild winters we have here in Ireland are nothing to the cold ones I had to get used to in Austria at the time. And I survived no bother, as history proves ;) Man up and enjoy the fishing as long as you can!

I have no problems with it. I tried it a few years ago after reading that back backers, mountaineers, and cyclist used them for cold weather.
