A mate of mine caught this tonight at greepark on a crab and lug cocktail

Ya a lot of rays around youghal the last two years,caught all species except the blond off the boat,but the blond is top of my list for 2013

Species 2012: Flounder, Whiting, Dublin Bay Codling, Coalie, 3 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Bass, Dogfish, 5.2lb Starry Smoothhound (PB), Twaite Shad, Thornback Ray 5.8lbs (PB), LSD, Pollock, Ballan Wrasse, Cork Wing Wrasse, 43cm Flounder (PB)

Species 2013: Coalie, East Coast Codling, Smoothounds, And hopefully a back opp to get back fishing soon...

Lovely fish,would you rekon it would be feesible to recatch that fish,would love to catch such a quality fish.

Doubt it, its in my mother in laws fridge ready for consumption. Did you know that already mike ?
Had a 12lb+ painted ray tonite shattered my beloved penn venom as i stupidly tried to yank it up the wall. Probably bad karma, That one isnt in my mother in laws fridge :mrgreen:

Im shocked seanie,but each to there own.Maybe it should have been a few pics of the butchered ray wings that should have been posted rather than a picture of what "used" be a beautiful looking fish. :idea: Either way to late now hope alls well with you and that the mother in law enjoys her feast,any ideas on who's doing the cooking :lol:

Your right mike (as per freaking usual) they are a beautiful fish , but i know a guy who harms snake whites which i admire greatly :P check your inbox mike :idea:

They are probably the finest ray i have eaten, and i have eaten a fair few :mrgreen:
