Bacon as bait..????

Was reading somewhere bout using bacon as bait..the guy reckons he's had bass, mullet pollock and smooth hound on it!....

Anyone ever try it??

ye it works best in a cocktail of bread and brown sauce yum

the only time I used bacon for fishing was for carp and it was bacon grill it was a great bait nut for sea fishing I wudnt know

I have caught wrasse on ham....
Always CAR! unless its a pollock...!

2012 species: Pollock, Mack, Coalfish, Gurnard, Bullhuss, Dogfish and Wrasse.
Would do anything for a bass!

I've had doggies on roast chicken.. had a carcass in the boot, tuck some flesh, elastic on..banged out..doggies..
2016: dogfish, pollack,

2015: whiting, coalfish, turbot, pollack, ballan wrasse, conger, thornback, short spined sea scorpion , common blenny ,

2014 : dogfish, garfish, launce, common blenny, cuckoo wrasse, flounder, pollack, thornback ray,

2013 species:(15) Whiting, Dogfish, Three Bearded Rockling, bull huss, poor cod,turbot, flounder,pollack, spotted ray, thornback ray, launce, corkwing wrasse, long spined sea scorpion, common blenny,mackerel,

2012 species: Thornback, bull huss, Dogfish, pollack, Mackerel, bass, flounder, turbot, conger,

once used strips of raw chicken fillet and caught codling and flounder on the east coast :!:

I brought a bag of sausages and rashers down with me fishing before instead of my bait. got the bags mixed up when i was taking them out of the fridge. was going to tie a sausage on and try it out but i just went home and eat them instead :lol:

i went to cook sausages one day but they were gone off,instead of chucking them in the bin i brought them with me fishing that evening,got a load of pollack up to 2lb on them,a few years ago myself and the brother went fishing and had very little bait,stopped at a few shops but could not get any mackerel so got some rashers,we had coalfish and rockling on the rashers
