east cork bass

#1 Post by thecatcher »

just a few words of hope on the bass fishing in east cork area,i was lure fishing yesterday at first light right up to high tide i had 4 bass in 2 hours and 1 possible double figure fish which spat my feed shallow right back at me after 10 min battle across rocks me falling and everything .this mark during the summer didnt produce for me at all mainly because the water was always brown from all the rain and hampered with weed. The summer before i had a fish or more nearly every trip now sum will argue this was weather related others because of netting for years in the east cork area which are all true.Yesterday morning i saw plenty of bass activity in this area fish jumping clean out of the water, swirling in waves right in front of me, conditions were perfect ssw winds water clarity was good and no weed until a young seal poped up in front of me that is.this mark would of also been netted but i have only seen two other anglers fish it in the last two years mainly because of the marks either side of it.My point is has anybody else seen an improvement over the last two months in the east cork area without giving away locations
kind regards gavin.

Alright Gavin. Good news indeed :) Good to hear that mark is still fishing, it needs protecting !. Haven't had the chance to get out there in about 6 weeks but I'll make ammends next weekend :) Fair play on the fish
