black plastic washer for ian golds tripod

Hi all

went to the beach saturday night to find i had lost the black washer that holds the double cup head in a steady position on the tripod,,,now i can still use the head but its not the same as you know your self,,,hope you know the device i am on about

anyway if anyone has one lying around and doesnt want it,,il throw you a few bob for it,,,,i can order one off ebay but id said id try here first and give it ago

HI BRIAN,
I DONT KNOW THAT TYPE OF TRIPOD AS THE ONE I USE IS A HOMEMADE ONE,BUT IF YOU KNOW ANYONE THAT HAS ACCESS TO A LATHE HE MIGHT BE ABLE TO TURN YOU ONE BY JUST DRAWING A SIMPLE SKETCH OF IT,OR JUST BRING THE TRIPOD WITH YOU AND HE SHOULD BE ABLE TO MEASURE THE INNER AND OUTER DIAMETER AND THETHICKNESS OF IT.

thanks john,,,this is something i did think bout,,,wouldnt be the hardest to make either,,,just gonna see if anyone has one lying about,,,maybe someone left their tripod head on the beach one day or night and has this washer thrown in a shed somewhere,,il see how dis goes,,,il prob just get one off ebay in the end,,,thanks for your thought

Happened to me you could get a wing nut in a hardware store for a few pence

Oh right i seen the shop in courtown sell a full replacement for the top of the tripod might not be to expensive

you know the black washer for the tripod,,,it goes the same side as the head cups and has a hole in it to let the screw through

Is this the thing or is it just a basic flat washer like you would see inside a tap a "jumper washer"
