waterford estuary

im thinking of fishing the estuary on monday for cod its gonna be a 4.0 tide ive fished the nud hole good few times but can't rememberr does it flood over the banks on a tide like that???? :shock: any info be good

yes bigger tides means the water comes over the bank and your fishing box will be floating :wink:

Next Monday is a very small tide, had planned on travelling south myself but with recent reports & biblical rain we’ve knocked it on the head.

alby the weather is to be clear sat sun and mon so fresh water be out the estuary no ??????

don't know whether im right...but after a lot of rain and big floods...we usually give the estuary about a week to return to normal (but thats just us...could be totally wrong)

fished last night had flounder eel and plaice no cod weather was very mild think we need a serious cold spell to get them in serious numbers

didnt hear of many cod in the river yet only smaller ones few good whiten and dabs tho.you could try down the river to get away from fresh water.here of a few cod on the beach in tramore last week.
