poulnasherry bay

#1 Post by agardiner22 »

Me and my son are going fishing for wrasse on soft plastic on sat (weather permitting) but if weather is poor was thinking of trying here.
Would anyone have any tips on fishing here like What side to fish on???? Do i fish the mouth of the bay???? rig set up??? We are gonna spend the night camping in Kilbaha again, had some great sport on the pier last time. My son ran a mile from the 1st conger we caught!!! Any tips would be greatly appreciated and kept in strictest confidence

Try sand eel and mackerel for ray here.At either side of the mouth of poulnasherry bay Bass and Flatfish can be picked off. When the water is low and also with an early flood is best but can sometimes fish well all sides and peeler and lug required if you can get it. Standard 2/3 hook flappers, running ledgers keep it simple, for the bass and flatties and pulley rigs for the rays. Best of luck let me know how you get on :D
The finest gift you can give a fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

Fish here:https://maps.google.com/maps?q=52.643654,-9.550751&ll=52.643659,-9.550727&spn=0.000923,0.002642&num=1&t=h&z=19
Try and pick a slack tide cause the flow of water is very strong here. Park your car and walk accross the field to the left until you reach the beach and go down about 50yds. Low water is best here loads of ray!!
Kstaff has always been the new black in my eyes anyway!!!!!!!
