snapped rod

#1 Post by jay k »

hi lads

i was out fishing monday evening in courtown, 10 minute walk down the beach, 3 casts and snap goes my rod. :x
its gave me 4 good years fishing so cant complain too much but i really like the rod so would like to keep it.

so i was wondering is there any chance anyone here has a shakespeare salt long surf 14'' 9' thats damaged or no longer used, its a 3 piece fixed spool rod and im looking for the middle section, im in the north wexford area but willing to travel.

if anyone can help it would be much appreciated, thanks.

You get sentimental about them after a while, keep it some day you will find a piece that is compatible but for now its time to get a new toy :)
The finest gift you can give a fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
