Didnt think there would be cod in Poolbeg! That venue seems a bit underrated considering the different species it throws up smoothhound, bass and apparently cod aswell!alby wrote:Several fish over 4lb from Corbawn Lane, The 40 foot (after Dark), Poolbeg lighthouse & behind Bullock Harbour last winter.
There's even a spring run down in Poolbeg beleive it or not.
Although not Dublin - Greystones North beach still can fish well after a good easterly.

Re: Dublin Cod
Lots of good cod spots around Dublin some are just very dodgey to get down to.. I just got a kayak to solve that problem. Some great spots around howth head U can get down , but U will be taking ur life in ur hands.. Don't go near it if its raining or even might rain cause U will either slip of and die or get stuck at the bottom if it rains...

I used to pick up some nice cod on squid/lug cocktails on the broken rocks part of the elbow on the right hand side pier in howth harbour mostly around low tide darkness/ december
Species....good film.....I'll get my coat
