Fishing spots around Cork

#1 Post by Monk32 »

Hello everybody
Would anyone be able to recommend some decent spots for spinning from thr shore / rock / beach around Cork harbour. Cobh, roches point, Crosshaven etc...been out 3 times in the last week around cross haven, bull rock and caught only 1 pollack on a spinner. This has been brought up before and but the posts are pretty old so I was hoping somebody might have a tip on where fishing is good at the moment.....

I haven't fished in the past 3 years but would like to get back into it. My son (7) is dying to start also so I want to take him out tomorrow for his first trip. Mainly spinning.

Thanks for any suggestions

Macks have been showing in fountainstown the last week and its very safe for kids. If its busy at the end of the path move up a little till you find somewhere flat enough for the young lad to fish from.
