Hi all
Have fished off Greystones Pier a few times, not a regular place we would go but decided to head out early morning last time, got a few hits, but always got snagged on way in and started to lose gear. Ended up giving up on it, as we were leaving noticed a fishing boat picking up pots in the area we were fishing. Assumed, that we were losing gear as it was getting snagged in pots. Never had noticed it before when I was out there, and did not think they would place pots so close in.
Anybody who fish out there had same issues?

Re: GreyStones
Hi G,
I have never seen any fishing pots out there but by any chance where you fishing off the immediate right as soon as you got onto the end of the pier? That area tends to be a tackle graveyard. The other 270 degrees around the pier are good to fish off. Earlier this year I saw a guy who was badly snagged and he tried to pull out but ended up snapping his rod!
