Re: head torches?
do you mean this kind of thing? http://www.headtorches.com/TigaSL.html
I have used them for years but just switched over to led as they are far easier to carry and less cumbersome.
My tiga is a great lamp, gives off light like a car head light but very heavy.

Re: head torches?
Any idea of a make and model of the lamps ? Mine took a dunking last night and it isn't looking promising.

Yea I took Mike's advice and picked myself up the magicshine as well very bright and great distance on the beam and will last a full session on high beam if need be the only draw back is the moths....
There is a old topic on the site about the magic shine lamp just use the search box...

Re: head torches?
How much light do you need? I used a Tiga for years and still have it, but I now use and carry a spare of the ones sold in the pound shops. 9 LEDs more than provides enough light to see what you're doing and thread baits etc. On the other hand, if you're looking to guide the passing ships in go for something more expensive
i get by with a little help from my friends.

Re: head torches?
Ive a led lenser h7 and its got great power for watchin the rod tips but find the energiser lamps give a better light for baiting up as they give a wider arc of light as opposed to the more focussed beam from the led lenser.the led lenser was 55 euro approx ,I dont think I would spend much more on a lamp to be honest
