Cunnigar/Helvic head

#1 Post by Big Bear »

Hi lads,

im away down to Cahir next week and have a pass to get away fishing for the day, I'm eager to catch a bass on the lure i have previously only caught one on baits and want to add to my tally and being down this direction is my best chance. I'm a bit put off by cunnigar though as i have read a post about wading on sandbanks and have never done this......

am i heading in the right direction in terms of lure fishing or should i go back to the drawing board??

You can walk down to the point of the Cunnigar and fish from there without any danger.

As said above if you havent fished the banks before dont go on your own but you can fish the point back in towards Dungarvan/Abbeyside.There are also quite a few good rock marks around Helvic that arent to hard to get down to if you find the Cunnigar a bit daunting .
