Co.clare help needed badly!!!

Goin fishin in fanore tmro nite. Got frozen bait but am havin xtrme probs finding anywhere I can dig lug, all the beaches I have tryed have no casts.. Surely there are worms somewere

Not sure if Clare got hit as bad but the phytoplankton bloom might have put paid to alot of the lug, know some of the beaches up here are devoid of casts after the red tide. Baitdigger on the forum here knows Clare well might be worth a shout.
Sea Species(25) bass, codling, whiting, turbot, seatrout, stingray, pollock, coalfish, longspine scorpion, ballan wrasse, dogfish, ling, pouting, poor cod, dab, mackerel, smelt, sandeel, launce, bull huss, painted ray, thick lip mullet, golden grey mullet, rock goby.
Fresh Water (2) brown trout, sea trout

i have offen seeing lads digging down in ballyvaughn at l.w beside the little pier i dont know what there digging but it might be lug

pot of gold maybe, never got any lug from there, go down to the castle, (don't attempt to drive down, you get stuck and don't forget to close the gates after you) keep to your right, having said that don't do anything which might attract the bull away from its business. Been there with kids etc...
When you're on the foreshore you are safe, plenty of lug there. Just make sure to bring some goodies for the bull on your way up, he doesn't like empty buckets :lol:

hi redz, got 3 weevers. never caught one before but hfully wont catch one again. that mark looks class plenty of rocks and features. was a good surf even thogh it wasnt windy. id say with abit if an onshore blow it would fish ok. the silver fellas are bound to patrol up and down it. will def be back for another crack at it again cheers for your pm
