I was there yesterday evening. I tried the sea side. Murky water and small bits of annoying sticky weed at the beginning of the wall. The water gets clearer near the half moon, but I still got those weed balls at every cast. However, the guys walking back from the light house managed to catch mackerels and pollacks.

Good luck then ! I hope the hounds will come back to their master

By the way, I blanked yesterday. I didn't stay long because I was fed up removing those small weed bits from my line.
