Passed through Kinsale on saturday, no one fishing off the bridge so nothing to report. Anyone give Ballycotton or Youghal a go recently? Will probably try myself this week

Went to Skerries harbour this evening @ 6:30 high tide 7:30. Parked car walked to harbout turned back.

There was about 20 people trying to fish. Went to LoughShinny 4k down the road but got nothing. Anyone ever fished here for anything? Nice bay that may throw up the odd bass?

Forgot to mention that there were 2 very hungry seals out as well. It made the retrieval exciting tho, you could see these 150lb beasts chasing after your catch. One lad beside me lost 3 fish to them!

Two of us fishing off the rocks in Howth on Saturday. Tried both sides of tide, spent about 4 hours total and we both blanked.

A guy beside us had been there since 9am and had nothing.

Another fella said he got 4 macks.

Hopefully it improves later in the Summer

Wednesday, thousands of mackerel, mainly small, driving sandeel and sprats up onto the rocks at Ballyvaughan North Clare. Bigger mackerel taken on lures rather than feathers. Lots of people complaining how small they were but I didnt see anyone stop fishing or putting them back. Fantastic bait sized Joeys but I found that the ones I kept whole in the fridge almost spoiled overnight where I left the guts in, very soft the next day when I tried to put a 7/0 and wire trace through them.
The Truth is often stumbled upon by men, most of whom pick themselves up and hurry along as if nothing ever happened.
