Info wanted

#1 Post by Conger »

Hi lads

We are thinking of doing an overnight camping trip to Inisheer during August with th young lads, now the interesting side of this is that herselfs idea of camping up to this was a mobile home :D :D I am just wondering if I was to magically sneak a bit of gear out with me would I be better off with the lure gear or some beach gear. Also there is a deal on a 4 man tent in Argos at the moment with a gelert tent, considering this may only be used once would it be ok.
All help greatly appreciated

Hi Conger ,not sure on the area but regarding the tent if its only one night im sure it would be grand as long as the weathers nice just be sure to bring a tarpaulin in case it doesnt stand up to a torrential downpour .. We were on a lake fishing trip a few years back and I got caught out with their fishing tent . It was grand for light showers but once it got heavy and persistant it started to fail at the seams. Im sure some of the others well be able to give brand specific info ,enjoy

That tent would be fine Conger. I cant find it on the argos website but its probably similiar to mine. It will keep water out no problem. Ya may do the full experience and bring camping gas, no eating out:).

alternatively you can find 4 man tents here :
http://www.decathlon.co.uk/C-359116-ten ... ze~4-berth
(delivery 1 GBP, even to Dublin, ends today).
I used their Quechua brand a lot when I lived in France and I was happy with the 2 people tent.

Never tried beach fishing there but the lure fishing is great. Had some really big pollack (10lb) on the airport side of the plassy. Ask the locals if you dont know where the plassy is.
