Input on rods please

#1 Post by Preston »

Im going to be getting a rod or two next month and I am looking for one to cover distance as well as rough ground for cod in winter and smoothies or tope in the summer .Ideally it needs to be a slim rod with a responsive tip with good bite detection . This will be paired to a 525 mag2

The second rod needs to cover beach marks with good bite detection and have enough strenght not to buckle under weed and be capable of 4/6 oz and bait. This rod is going to be paired with a 515 mag 2 and plan to use it alongside a greys grxs which im happy but need something with a little more feel in the tip.

Thanks in advance

Zziplex M4 Evo :P slim, powerful and a joy to use. For you seccond rod one of the Ian golds range like the premier match or the international match should fit the bill.

Cheers for that I was looking at the Ian Golds range allright but noticed that some of the range seems to be discontinued so any ideas if theirs a new range on its way ?Im tempted to get a zzipplex allright and have seen a few of beachbuddys rods and they look the business but am being swayed by the anyfish anywhere range especially the big beach rod and the century tip tornado sport..
