Hi Ogie,
Renroe beach holds good stocks of flounder and plenty of dogfish. To have good bass fishing you will need some surf. Low tide is probably best.
If there has been some rain, the area either side of the estuary can get very dirty with flood water so it's best to move to cleaner water. The beach in front of the golf course usually fishes better than the other side. I have only ever seen one ray caught there. ( a sting ray!) Best of luck.

The smaller beach on the other side of the wreck of a hotel (you will know it when you see it) is well worth a punt.
Ballinskelligs beach itself will also throw up fish on the left side where the water is deeper. Caught plenty of species from it when reenroe was devoid of surf. You are also about a ten minute drive from St Finians bay which can be very good on its day. Ask anyone for directions to the chocolate factory and its about a mile further on.
Good luck, Im down that way next weekend and will post a report.
i get by with a little help from my friends.

St Finians Bay tends to attract surfers at all hours of daylight, but the gully halfway out on the left hand side is worth a plug for a stray bass.
