Donegal

#1 Post by POC »

Hi Guys,
Heading to Donegal for a short few days mid July. We've booked a house near Glengad. Sad to say I dont have any knowledge of the area and I'm not going to have much time on my hands so was wondering if somebody could give me some local guidance. Im only planning to bring some light gear so was thinking of doing some lure fishing / rock hopping. I'm don't expect anyone to give away their hotspots (although as my time is limited it would be super to be able to get stuck straight in!) but if you could steer me away from the very cold spots it would be very much appreciated!

Thanks a mill,
POC

Head down by the pier in Glengad and work your way round by the right of it.Loads of rock marks great for pollock and wrasse fishing there.Bunagee pier in Culdaff about 5 mins away is decent at time's also Pollock wrasse dogs and conger from the pier it's self and the rocks to the back of the pier are also decent.

Hi Cathal, Thanks for that. Much appreciated. Looking forward to it now. Any tackle shops in the area?
