The best marks are ones you find yourself :D walking around rocky headlands and other spots that suit bass would be a great start, the great thing Bout lure fishing is you can cover a large area by keeping on the move and you may come across a monster and have good fun with pollock and wrasse while your at it 8)

Look for moving water (rips) near structure and/or dropoffs..

Also if you can find this with overhead lights (at night), you have it made. Fish the shadow line!

Well, it works over here..

Most bridges have overhead lighting. Bridge produces shadows. Bass wait for bait which is attracted to light..

Also large, anchored ships/barges, etc.

Also sometimes try using a larger jighead/soft plastic (or bucktail jig) on end of line/leader and a smaller "teaser" fly or small jig 1-2 feet above the larger jig. When bait is small and bass are keying on smaller bait, the smaller jig often gets bit (or both get bit). You have seen fellow bass following a hooked brother to the boat?

Do you folks have/use "sassy shad" style lures? They also work great. 2-3" above, 4-5" below.
