hi,
I was out tonight and managed to snag a bush behind me and unfortunately I snapped my 9ft spinning rod just below the join when trying to cast far. I guess i didn't have the drag adjusted for some bizarre reason. Anyway is there a way to fix it or do I put it down to a life lesson and get a new one??

Re: Broken rod repair
If it's a top end rod it might be worth looking at a repair, but any repair near the joint will stiffen the rod action and it won't feel the same. Unless it's a Tenru or similiar, I'd go with a new one.

Re: Broken rod repair
ok guys look like it's a new rod is the better option than repair. Can one suggest a suitable spinning rod for river /estuary fishing for about 70 - 100 ? I liked 9ft but am open to options. cheers for the help
