People:me + my dad
Duration:18.00--23.00
Tide:high approx 22.45
Weather:dry moderate s/w
Bait:rag,lug,mussels,squid +mack
Rigs:2 hook pats and flappers
Results:5 coalies,2 coding,1flounder +1 whiting
Report:daylight a complete waste of time as baits were coming back in as went out, not a single bite between 18.00+21.00 ,had hoped to encounter a few plaice as heard a few being caught but no sign of them today, but as soon as dark fell all the usual suspects put in a show and rescued a poor session in the making. we had fished glenarm beach the last friday in march and blanked and during daylight this had looked like deja vu.

was chatting to a mate who said a load of fish came off the breakwater at glenarm on saturday night, they were getting double dogs and everything!
its strange that pretty much the whole antrim coast still isnt producing many fish yet at this stage of the year

Hi Rab & HC,
HC - you are right on the Passat - I drive a silver one.
Rab - the guys in the Pug 406 were from B'castle, they arrived at the Breakwater around 9 -good lads. I left my bait with them when I finished at 11. They had a coalie and a very oddly coloured Sea Scorpion - pink and grey in colour - ugly but nice at the same time (if that makes sense!!)
I'm hoping to get out at the weekend - maybe Sat.
Club competition on next weekend at Kinnego - really looking forward to that....
