People:me and 10 other club members

Duration:3-8pm

Tide:wee bit down, low and fill

Weather:wee bit of sun, mostly snow!!!

Bait:lug rag mack sandeel squid crab

Rigs:mostly two and 3 hook flapper, some 2hook clipped

Results:only a couple of coalies and couple of flounder caught, by 2 anglers, the rest blanked

Seems to be like that across the north coast at the mo - get the conditions right and there are some good bags of quality flatties, get 'em wrong and it's blank city.

I'm not even considering planning on going out until the weather improves - ie that NE component of the wind takes a hike for 4-5 days. Just not worth it.....

Gimme a nice SW gale instead. Much better chances of seeing fish.

was quite simple today, the fish just werent there, even the crabs werent nibblin on the baits!!!
Not the BigPhil from Irish Angler mag, I'm the original, i swear!!!!
