Im not an angler but saw the post and had to reply.

I was down on ballinoulart that evening shock horror proposing to my fiance, were only on the beach about 5 minutes. Walked back over the dunes and stopped three people trying to break into a blue volkswagen van. i looked at my car and it had been broken into and two expensive pool cues and cases taken off the back seat. The three people jumped into the car, i got the reg colour make and rang the gards. Got a phone call 20 minutes later and they had caught the driver of the car and i got my stuff back. Was so blessed. but at least it might stop at least him for a while. He was charged and all but I would advise everyone please dont leave valuables in your car of any sort because these scum need absolutely no invitation. So if you own a blue volkswagen van I hope i got back in time before they did too much damage!

These break ins appear to be happening everywhere, an angling guide in north mayo had his van broken into and some fishing gear stolen, we just have to be extra vigilant.

I have a solution for ye. :D
Can pick you up anywhere and drop you to your destination be on the end of a phone to pick you up again, including change of venue if fishing crap. Costs are contributions for diesel etc, can take up to 4 + gear so costs go down the more I have on board. :D

Think about it no worries about cars and save on petrol costs. :D

I drive a Mitsubishi L200 jeep so lots of room in the back for gear and can take 4 passengers or 3 if they are all 20 + stone. :D
