whoa people!

Communication is 7% the words used, 38% tone of voice etc., and 55% non-verbal i.e. body language... which means that leaving aside the small assistance emoticons are,

, email operates at 7% efficiency as a means of communication.

I have no doubt scara that 12 months really meant 11 months, and that it was just a slip of the keyboard. We should save our anger for the poachers... and the politicians who refuse to do something about it...

FWIW

In truth I am just envious about the fact you have bass down in Cork and Kerry at all never mind all year round

...hence the green face!

I fully agree Kieran. If someone has a point to make, or a grievance please put it in more that 3 words

Thats the problem.

Can be takes in so many ways.

I got pulled up myself for a slip of the keyboard on Monday. It was put in a nice way and a couple of sentances were used.

Like previous people have mentioned, we have to put this anger in our declining fish stocks to our Local TD's and such and not at our fellow anglers.

Ok , Tone was wrong in what i said , i was having a crappy day ....

But don't get me wrong i still get abit ballistic on poaching. I can't count the number of anglers ive met on donegal beachs that have given me the nod that a certain resturant in the north will give you a good price for bass....there not that plentful in donegal to be taking them.

I'm just jelous that you can catch them 11months of the year and how plentyful they are.

Imagine if we could protect the northern salmon run how it would effect the southern rivers and if bass netting could be stopped down south me and Kieren could maybe post some nice pictures.

Last word.
An angler taking too many fish, or out of season or with out a licence is a poacher the same as a man having 1 mile of net.

well if one gets the nod about a res then get the bailif to call in. have done it loads of times with both res and fishmongers. the thing we all have to remember is that this isnt really big business but is instead small timers getting beer money. No shop or res will take too many chances and it is not worth their while having wild bass if the bailif will call round especially when most joe soaps wouldnt tell the difference between wild and farmed bass.
And as for the license, have had my salmon one since the beginning of Feb, and I would like to think of myself as not a poacher!

Hey seanibo if you go plugging would you go plugging close to home or would you travel further south?understand if ya wanna keep it to yourself man dont worry about it.

Hows it going Al, its no secret, would head to redrock near sutton or the rocks between portmarnock and malahide or any of the estuaries in north dublin, malahide etc. Its still a bit early though August, September and October best. The south bull wall might be worth a go in the next few weeks though.

Hello there Wavechopper. Im no expert on plugging by a long shot! The plugs I'd use are rapala jointed plugs like the J 11 or theres a deadly looking little one I got off jfkireland (another forum member) called a yo - zuri surface popper.

Cheers for the advice and tips, (and for the entertainment mid thread...!) I have invested (!) in several more lures to add to the growing collection and hope to give them a serious try over the next couple of weeks. Thanks again for all the contributions.
