Clifden Conger

#1 Post by finding nemo »

Will be in Clifden over the weekend and just wondering has anyone had any luck catching congers?
Any advice on location would be great. Any other species worth targeting in the area?

Thanks,
Rob

hi rob I heard of a few conger being caught on the north side of the bay,I have not fished the bay in a while but I will pm you directions to a mark I had a bit of luck over the years,I also had some nice huss there as well
what day are you heading down?if I am around I will show you how to get to the mark

you could also try for some thornback ray, plenty of them caught in the bay the last few weeks

use http://www.sailing.ie/LinkClick.aspx?fi ... 2&mid=1277 for the tides and add 15mins

if you have a idea of the times you will be able to fish let me know and I will try point you in the right direction
