Spinning Rod Advice

Hi Guys,

Im looking to get a new spinning rod and was wondering what brand/models do people find best? Im really looking for a strong rod with good whip action and good sensitivity. A few I have had a look at are: Diawa Proteus 10ft 10g-60g cw, Shimano 10ft 20-50g cw. Budget of around €50 - €60.

Would recommend a savagegear bushwacker 10-40g seems to have all you are looking for.
I have one myself and its a great rod. I even use it for pike fishing

i have the bushwacker 15-50 can not fualt the rod. Plenty of power

what reel would you guys suggest for a bushwacker? looking to spend about £100 on rod + reel.

Corrib Angling in Galway now stock them as well...

edit : They are out of your budget of €50-60 though...

Cheers Viper. I had a look at the price alright but it might be worth the extra few quid! I'l keep an eye out for a good deal!

Have a look in the buy and sell section lads, 2 nice combo deals in there.
I have the daiwa wilderness 10-40gram and exage 4000. Happy out with them 8)
the case with you get with the wilderness is the business aswel !
2011 species: pollock,mackeral,coalfish,whiting,codling,conger,flounder,dogfish,pouting.Not bad for my first few months fishing :)

2012 species: Coalfish (13), Bass (1), Rockling (5), Ballan wrasse (2), Pollock (57), Dogfish (8),
Whiting (1), Conger (1)

Big fan of the Mike Ladle Surespin rods from Veals.

I use the Surespin for most of my fishing - strong, light and long for rocky shores.

Cheers for the advice lads! I went for a Diawa Proteus 11ft in the end. Was in my price range and ticked all the boxes. Hopefully I'l catch a few beauties on it now! :D
