If you're looking for a tackle shop, Baumann's in Dungarvan is probably the best bet. It's actually a jewellers in the front, with a part in the back that does angling equipment and frozen bait. The bait varies from week to week, though they usually have mack, crab and sand eel--sometimes there's frozen lug too. Hard to think of a good daytime mark in West Waterford, especially the beaches. I generally find the Blackwater estuary in the Youghal direction will throw something up, but there's lads on the site who'd be better placed to give this advice than me.
