dolphins in the bray area

#1 Post by garymaxima »

dolphins have been hanging around the bray area for a couple of years now. they seem to move between bray head and dalkey island in the morning time. it got me thinking that they are only there for one reason - it's a good habitat with enough food to sustain them. that has to be good news for anglers.

just wondering if anybody had seen them recently and if so, what time and where abouts? cheers

I was out walking with my wife this evening along the Vico road and the sea was like glass and we seen the 3 dolphins [2 adults and a juvenile] heading towards Dalkey. Dont see as many porpoise's around the area since the Dolphins appeared there 2 years ago. Flipper and his mates are nothing but Big Bullys :D

No problem Gary i love watching them, i was around the Sandycove area 2 Sundays ago with the kids and they where only a 100 meters from the shore breeching the water, lots of people enjoying the show they where putting on. Seen a few Terns this evening so thats a real sign that spring is here.
