silly question

When you say your using rag TIPPED with mackerl or vice versa what does that mean exactly ???? :oops:

EXACTLY LIKE IT SAYS .HALF FILL THE HOOK WITH MACKS AND FINISH IT WITH RAG OR VISE VERSA [.SORRY CAPS LOCK IS STICKING]

is it better than say having mack on one hook and rag on another,having the 2 bait on same hook?
