Tramore and Saleens Blank fwiw
People: myself and 2 others
Duration: Saleens 3 hrs Tramore 3
Tide: Saleens low water Tramore rising
Weather: Saleens: cool very windy Tramore less windy sunny
Bait: Macks sandeel Razorfish
Rigs: paternoster
Results: 1 Cold (no not a coalie just sniffles) each. a complete blank, nothing, Total failure, you get the idea.
Report: It was cold but we had come from Dublin to fish and fish we did 3hrs on Saturday and 3 hrs on Sunday
A local told us that he had been fishing a couple of times during the week and caught nothing and that the winter fish have left and the summer crowd had not come in yet.
 :x
Sunday was lovely there though. On Tramore Beach on the right side near the rocks

Saleens
Hi Bob
In the Saleens, did you try behind the car park, around 40 metres out, on the EBB tide, say 2 hours down from HT, you normally pick up decent flounder to crab baits? Most people head for the "river" to try for a bass but I've also heard reports to say that Tramore has been quiet recently.

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...
2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks

I was thinking of getting back on to rock fishing around Tramore on Sat. afternoon. Tired of trying to catch cod in the cold and dark. Would be grateful for any thoughts and advice from the more experienced members. Maybe one rod, jellyworms, deep spinning for pollock and another rod out with a mack for possibly a conger. Else a bit of float fishing for wrasse? Of course only if the weather is suitable....im not totally crazy!

Hi
Top right hand corner of the boards - JD has distributed one to all SAC members for 2006 as far as I know. Forum members could always buy a few, any profit (damn all) goes to pay for the website hosting...
It's either that or dodgy handshakes!!!
